International Marketing Strategy
Published in Paperback by Financal Times Management (December, 2001)
Author: Frank Bradley
Average review score:

Solid Textbook
This book is a solid work of well researched theory by one of the leading marketing thinkers in Ireland. Given the export led focus of the Irish economy and the success of the economy in the last ten years there is probably no-one better positioned than Bradley to identify the factors salient to the success or failure of international marketing stragegies in the real world. Ideally this book should be used in conjunction with case study material to illustrate the issues. Taken on it's own it may appear to be a little weighty and it could be perceived as a daunting read. However, it remains for me a valuable reference work

Introduction to Christian Theology
Published in Paperback by Fortress Press (February, 1997)
Author: Bradley C. Hanson
Average review score:

Good source for the basics, but....
Hanson's Introduction to Christian Theology, is an excellent source for beginner theologians. As a person who has studied theology previously, I find most of Dr. Hanson's comments helpful, but sometimes the text only serves to confuse me even more. Hanson's seeming dislike for orthodox, fundamental Christianity is blatantly obvious, when most conservative views are merely mentioned in the footnotes. Dr. Hanson's love of qouting radical-fringe theologians, such as Sallie McFague, Arthur Peacocke, and John Polkinghorne, disturbs me in that his representation of traditional Christianity seems to lack such hefty support.
This book is really good at presenting alternative views of Christianity other than orthodox or fundamental, and explaining them in a way that makes sense. However, I think Hanson has sacrificed some integrity by not presenting in a clear fashion ALL views regarding Christianity.
Overall, an excellent reader on doctrine, belief, and practice, but students should be careful in realising there are alternate, more consevative views than what are presented in this book. For a conservative reader I reccomend andything on theology by D. James Kennedy, J.M. Boice, and Raymond Brown.

A fascinating text!
Journalism Today is a fascinating text for use in a beginning journalism class. Being a new high school journalism instructor, I've found the information as enlightening as my students. It provides many great suggestions for stories and wonderful insights into the field of journalism. A must have for young journalists!

Lecture Notes on Clinical Medicine
Published in Paperback by Blackwell Science Inc (15 January, 1997)
Authors: David Rubenstein, David Wayne, and John Bradley
Average review score:

Excellent book for Clinical Approach, good for basic facts
This book is divided into 2 parts: Part 1 deals with The Clinical Approach, and Part 2 deals with the Essential Background Information.

The Clinical Approach is the best part and includes 10 chapters (CNS, Eyes, Limbs, Head & Neck, Abdomen, Respiratory system, CVS, Hematology, Diabetes, and Skin). It focuses on the physical examination, and on the symptomatology.

The second part contains a summary of basic clinical facts about the diseases which you can read in any standard textbook. In addition, there're many important subjects which are not covered properly in this section (e.g. dermatology).

This book is not intended to be a complete textbook, and I think it should be supplemented by further reading. The margins of the pages are large so that you can add your additional notes. It contains few diagrams (no photographic pictures) and many tables.

Looking Back Between the Cracks
Published in Paperback by Upon This Rock Publishing Company (21 June, 2001)
Author: Verna Bradley
Average review score:

Grace and Mercy...
In the book "Looking Back Between The Cracks", Verna shares her personal testimony of how God saved her in spite of her situation.

From her story we learn that God truly loves each of us and he wants all of us the believers and unbelievers to come to him just as we are. She lends encouragement to her readers that "With God All Things are possible" Matthew 19:26.

I would personally recommend this book to anyone who may need reassurance that Gods Grace and Mercy is sufficient.

The Low-Maintenance Garden

Authors: Susan Berry and Steve Bradley
Average review score:

Low-Maintenance... helpful to the amateur
If you want to work in the yard or garden, but don't have time... OR even if you don't want to work in the yard or garden and enjoy the simply pleasures of a well landscaped yard... this book is for you. There are ideas and designs for walkways, small ponds, fountains, rasied beds, and seating areas. Picking the right plants is most important and this book helps to narrow the choices. There is also a section on how to minimize your chores. And of course there are some photos that help you get the creative juices going for ideas on everything from Japanese Gardens to Urban Jungles... Good Resource!

The Macro Economy Today
Published in Paperback by McGraw-Hill/Irwin (November, 2000)
Author: Bradley Schiller
Average review score:

Macroeconomy Today
This textbook is quite a comprehensive of introductory macroeconomics. Great graphs, well-explained, carefully thought out. The one downside is that it is quite idealistic, as one would expect of a neo-classical economist. The author does not recognize flaws in the theories nor does he acknowledge that the real world is not so cut-and-dry and ordered as we would be led to believe. However, as stated before, this is a wonderful introductory text for anyone who wants to understand the economy today.
